Guides to our key essay writing skills
There is no single correct structure or approach to writing a good essay. Brilliant essays can be written in many different ways. However, to avoid our students receiving mixed messages from different teachers over their years in school, we have decided on a particular approach based on a selection of key skills which we teach to our students from Year 7 through to Year 11. These guides explain each of the key skills that underpin our approach. They are arranged from simplest to most complex — the same order in which our students learn them.
